His paintings - primarily in oils - explore landscape, light, colour and form combining abstraction and representation. His work has often been inspired by his love of orchestral music and poetry and he makes regular treks into the countryside and around the coastlines of Britain drawing, photographing and collecting imagery and ideas. Nick trained at the North Oxfordshire College of Art & Design, Banbury and at Byam Shaw, London, graduating with a BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Art Painting from the Surrey Institute of Art & Design in Farnham.
