About the artist
Much of my work concerns things I can relate to as they appear in my life - crappy jobs, tv show reviews, trademarked robots, and bedsit bits. Not rape, or debt collectors, or having a gun put to ones head. Then I became an artist and I learned to illustrate. Now I draw on busses, at bus stops, in the two and a half hour wait at the bank, and while I wait for the work whistle to blow. Life takes its toll.
I work primarily in comics, I suspect comics had a part in teaching me how to read. Although with the entry of the digital age comics form struggles, the sheer brilliant potential of human shape on a page. The non-animate of fractal geometry, never moving. Caught in a still frame. Until you're ready for the next, or unless like me, the passion of the engagement flies with you to the next.
"And besides", as avatar of Brit Art Davey Tennant once yelled, "Comics are great !"
He did you see.
(how did i do ? was that ok ?)
